{HAUL} Innisfree World Review

By 16:59 , , , ,

Innisfree recently opened their Global Online Shopping Site at Innisfreeworld! Excited that I could finally purchase their products from their official site, I immediately hopped on the site and ordered a couple of their Best Sellers. They also have a couple of launching events going on with free gifts and discounted prices. Perhaps, because it is newly opened, some of their newer products are not yet listed on the site. I was hoping to get the Creamellow lipsticks and a couple more of their Lip Mousse, but they were sadly unavailable.
Innisfree is known for their natural Jeju ingredients and for being eco-friendly. You may be a little surprised by the way they package your order even knowing their brand story. Below is a photo of my arrived package exactly as I lifted the one sheet of extra packaging paper off the top of this. Keep in mind that this was shipped from Korea to Canada, internationally not locally. It's not always a smooth trip on those long flights. There's being eco-friendly and there's this.

There was a lack of protective lining or any type of protective packaging that should prevent your products from being damaged. As you might notice, I did order a bottle of their Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil and it was just thrown loosely into the box among the other products. Luckily, the lock on the sprout stayed in tact throughout its trip so there were no spills. I did not purchase any glass container items and all the other products arrived perfectly fine. I'm simply a little disappointed in the way my order was handled. Given that they shipped very, very quickly and it arrived exactly on time (within the 5~8 days), I'm still a little wary about ordering again.
As much as I adore Innisfree products, this was a disappointing experience, safety-wise. I will most likely order again once they have the new lip products in stock, however, it is unlikely I will purchase bottle type products from their site later on. I'm not given the sense that my bottle will arrive safely and intact if the shipping packaging remains like this.
I will do a separate post for the items I bought in this haul another time. The items I purchased this time include; Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil (feels very fresh and clean), Mineral Moisture Fitting Base (still testing out), The Green Tea Seed Serum Special Set (still testing out), and the INNI-KRA Bag-Birds of Mt.Halla.

  1. How did they fill out the customs form to Canada? o:
Did they fill out the exact amount of $$ that you purchased or a lower amount?

    1. From the all the hauls I've gotten from Innisfree, they've always filled in the exact amount (minus shipping) in the customs form. The also fill it in as Merchandise rather than Gift.

On the form it would look like: [x] Merchandise [ ] Gift [ ] Other
And then a table depending on what you've purchased: Cosmetics: $74, Tools: $4, etc.
At the end it would be weight/total value.

I didn't get charged for any extra customs charges for times I've purchased from them either. I hope this helps. ^_^

    2. Ohhhhh o: I'm surprised Canada doesn't charge customs cause they say if it's over $20 for merchandise they always charge ! :(
Do you mind if I ask which province you shipped it to?

    3. Hm, it is kind of strange. The stuff I got from Etude House always got marked as Gifts. I live in Ontario, so that's where my stuff gets shipped to. I also mainly use Standard Shipping, which might make a difference. I might just have been really lucky so far.

    4. Same for mee ! Both for the Etude House and Ontario thing xD
Maybe that's why, anyways thanks ! :) I'll venture into ordering something from Innisfree and cross my fingers about not being charged customs

    5. From my experience with online shopping, it should be unlikely that they'll charge you extra but, best of luck! ^o^/
